DAMAGE CLAIMS
We package all items with the utmost care and do everything possible to guard against damage from rough handling. However, things can sometimes go wrong between our door and yours.
The carrier is responsible for delivering merchandise in satisfactory condition. All deliveries should be inspected, any damage pointed out to the carrier, and call us immediately. Also, if damage is apparent, remember to keep all packing materials.
All shipments over $100 are insured for their full value. However, IPT is not responsible for replacing/repairing merchandise damaged in shipping if you sign for it as being in OK condition.
TRACKING NUMBERS
Please DO NOT call and ask us for tracking numbers, especially right after you've placed your order. We cannot give out tracking numbers because some people try to change the address we've shipped to which a) costs us $7.50, and b) can circumvent the safety measures we've taken to make sure we've shipped to the billing address on your credit card. This is a big enough problem that both our credit card processor and UPS have warned us not to give tracking numbers out. If your package is late (more than 5-6 days west of the Rockies, 3-5 days anywhere east of that) email us and we will track the package for you. If you call, often we can not drop everything and look up the invoice, look up the tracking number and track it all while you are on hold. We will take your information and call you back. Best is to email the request.
